The Laura B. Negley Elementary School PTA (Negley PTA) Alumni Scholarship has been established to recognize former students who have succeeded in their academic endeavors as well as supported their community. Negley PTA shall offer one $500 scholarship to the most qualified candidate each year.

The mandatory requirements for scholarship applicants are as follows:
- Is a former Negley Elementary School student with at least one full year of attendance.
- Has a cumulative non-weighted GPA of 2.50 or better at time of application completion.
- Attends and will graduate from a high school within the Hays Consolidated Independent School District.
- Has demonstrated involvement in extra-curricular activities and/or community service-based organizations.
- Will submit a completed application package no later than the assigned deadline. Incomplete or late applications will be disqualified.
Scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of:
- Years attended Negley Elementary
- Academic performance
- Participation in extra-curricular and/or community service-based organizations
- Quality of the applicant’s essay
